A Brittany full of art, nature and well-being
A river flows at the foot of the hillside, and the village is surrounded by ponds, sunken lanes, natural meadows and hectares of forests. You are at La Gacilly, a picturesque village in the heart of the Morbihan department of Brittany. Places to visit nearby include Rochefort-en-Terre, France's favourite village... And along the way you will find the legendary Forest of Brocéliande and a delightful string of pretty Breton ports stretching from Vannes, all around the Gulf of Morbihan.

Is it going to be nature, sea, culture, heritage or history? Choosing will be the hardest part! The area around La Gacilly has some of Morbihan's must-see sites for you to discover, such as the standing stones at Carnac, Rochefort-en-Terre (voted France's favourite village in 2016!) and Quiberon's Côte Sauvage. Alternatively, you might want to step into the Forest of Brocéliande...

LA GACILLY
You could spend hours in La Gacilly and it would still be full of surprises. It's also the ideal place to daydream in front of the beautiful stone houses, as you stroll along the little lanes that lead you to the edge of the Aff, the perfect place to relax. Meet the village's craftspeople, who love to pass on their passion.
LA GACILLY FESTIVAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY
All summer, La Gacilly's gardens and alleyways and the walls of its houses turn into photo galleries dedicated to street art. Between June to early November every year, France's biggest outdoor festival of photography presents ethical and humanistic images that have caught the eye of the great international photographers. The La Gacilly Festival of Photography attracts over 40,000 visitors to its 30 or so exhibitions.
AN ARTS AND CRAFTS TOWN
Painters, engravers, glassmakers, weavers, wood turners, sculptors and potters… Over the last four decades, some 180 craftsmen, professional artisans and artists have demonstrated their talent. Nowadays, some 30 studio-boutiques are open all year round in the historic heart of the village.
THE YVES ROCHER BOTANICAL GARDENS
You are invited to touch, see, smell and feel. Yves Rocher's Botanical Gardens extend over more than two hectares, on the hillside above La Gacilly. Their vocation is threefold: to tell us about Man's relationship with the plant world, to protect biodiversity, and to take us on a (sensory) journey to the cradle of the Yves Rocher expertise.
LA BERGERIE YVES ROCHER
The Yves Rocher Bergerie! This new hybrid ‘third place’ offers accommodation for young workers, hotel apartments, locavore culinary workshops, a seminar space for collective innovation... perched on the heights of the village (with a crazy view!). There's no need to look any further: there's no better place to reconnect with nature, meet new people and make new discoveries.
